The announcement of Board of Communications was sent to Kyakhta delayed due to its remote location,so in April 1916 it’s still using the dater of(Hung Hsien) Yr.1,thus an example of the late use on Hung Hsien Yr.1 dater, one of the three Mongolia-related items still using Hung Hsien chops. Both covers above present clear markings and complete mail routes, addressed to the same Shansi businessman in Kyakhta, excellent condition; one surface mail, the other via railway; the former crossed the Hung Hsien Year, the latter a late use of Hung Hsien Yr.1 dater, both nicely featured, highly scarce items for Mongolian postal history collection.
